Things I bought, things I want
I don’t think this quilted jacket could be much more perfect—I love the big hood, the swingy shape, the contrasting trim. It’s a little lightweight for east coast weather at the moment, but it’d be a great option for those who live somewhere that doesn’t get too horridly cold in the winter.
I just got these Me & Em jeans back from the tailor and am wearing them even as I type. They are the first-ever pair of wide-leg jeans to ever work on me—they’re actually really flattering—and they’ve got a nice amount of stretch. Also, they look like pull-ons here, but there’s a zipper on the side.
A really chic, long coat with a cool scarf attachment. It also comes in black, but there’s something so rich about this brown.
For a variety of aging-related reasons, I am beginning to accept that heels of any height just don’t work for me anymore. This doesn’t leave just a ton of options, especially since I loathe the way ballet flats look on me. But this Mary Jane flat, I think, comes off ever so slightly edgy, and not prissy, the way I fear ballet flats can.
My new sexiest bra is also my new most comfortable bra.
I also like this underwire style, from Else.
A cute and well-priced oversized sweater in a really good blue.
I brake for gold buttons, and this very spiff cashmere sweater jacket is also marked down right now.
I always like a dark floral, like on this pretty shirt dress from Favorite Daughter; all orders are 15% off with the code KIM15. I also quite like this ribbed long-sleeve tee—a super-soft, perfect base layer this time of year.
Alex Mill is having a sale with some very generous markdowns. I’ve got my eye on this crisp button-down but also also this peacoat, this work jacket, and this sweater jacket.
