10 good everyday bags
I spent a solid chunk of yesterday searching for handbags that clear my (admittedly high, maybe arbitrary) bar, and it made me kind of cranky. There are just so many bad bags out there: they’re either too itsy, too junked up with logos and hardware, too impractical. I like a bag that fits all of your stuff for the day, and that has little or no hardware, like this Allsaints number.
This woven leather Madewell bag could pass for Bottega Veneta.
A cute scrunchy bag that you can wear as a crossbody or a clutch.
The leather here is so soft and buttery, and I dig the deep brown shade.
Another good slouchy option.
I have long thought Longchamp bags were secretly cool, and apparently the cool people think they’re cool too now, but that doesn’t make me want one any less.
I have long coveted Mansur Gavriel’s Lady Bag—it’s the perfect size, and the shape is so quietly sophisticated. It’s also marked down in this shade, if you’re interested.
Clare V’s Moyen Messenger is my favorite bag—I have it in black and in green—and now I really want this blue iteration.
I like the combination of leather and suede on this one.
This converts into a backpack, which is awfully handy.
