GOACA bestsellers of 2024

A little introduction to this post, for those of you who are new: one way I make money on this Substack is through an affiliate program. In short, if you click on a link here, and it sends you to certain retailers, I will receive a commission if you buy something. This means that my sales numbers are available to me, and I get to see what you purchased—and what you didn’t return. It’s always really instructive to check out these analytics, though some years are easier to figure out than others. In 2024, however, you were fairly predictable: by and large, you wanted comfortable clothes, and you wanted them to be flattering. And now, the list, starting with Madewell’s magically becoming Harlow wide leg trouser, which comes in more versatile colors, though I do love this green.

For the first time ever, a home item made the top 10—this quilt from Schoolhouse, which comes in three colorways, each one better than the last.

A whole ton of you went for Rag & Bone’s clever trompe l’oeil sweatpants, which I own and wear entirely too much.

These chic sweatpants from Everlane made the cut too, though they’re almost sold out in the grey (here they are in black, if you’re interested).

And yet again more comfy pants: these cute ponte joggers are from Quince.

Also from Quince: this remarkably-priced zip front leather jacket, which is the ideal shape and crop for wearing with dresses.

This velvet blazer from J. Crew set many of your hearts aflutter.

I don’t think there’s been a year since I started doing this list that Emerson Fry’s caftan didn’t make it. It’s so perfectly light and floaty, and the block print is really good. Though the blue one I originally posted is not currently available, I think this green is pretty cool too.

And finally, this preppy/ladylike/tomboyish boucle shirt jacket from J. Crew rounded out the list.
