Let’s find your new blazer
The prevailing trend in blazers over the past several seasons has been an oversized silhouette, a look that I find difficult to pull off, and am I alone in this? I prefer something slightly more tailored, like this beautiful tuxedo blazer. It’s an investment, yes. But when you consider how successfully it riffs on this classic Saint Lauren one ($$$) you might just consider it worth it.
I just love the vintage-y shade of green on this one from Everlane; I also like it in this mini gingham check.
I love a well-cut denim blazer, and this one is just excellent.
And here’s a less expensive stretch denim option.
I like how already-broken-in this cool leather number is.
A lightweight linen option that comes in several other good shades.
And another linen jacket, this one with an appealingly menswearish shape.
The stripes here are just so fun and kind of appealingly preppy.
A satin blazer is just a good thing to own: throw it on with a delicate top and trousers, and you’ve got a pretty fancy outfit.
Rag & Bone’s ever-popular Slade blazer in stretch ponte is so easy to wear and great for travel.
Another smart-looking ponte option.
I dig the oatmeal shade here—it has the vibe of a white blazer without being quite so impractical as a white blazer.
And finally, I don’t typically go for double-breasted blazers, but this one is just aces.
