My everyday makeup
Aside from my eyeshadow and foundation, all the makeup I put on my face is contained in this jar, which previously housed a Fornasetti candle. Join me— won’t you?—as we examine its contents.
I’ve always got a couple of mascaras going at the same time, because I love trying new ones. Also, which mascara I choose corresponds somewhat to my mood: If feeling drama, my current favorite is Rare Beauty’s deeply volumizing option.
For a cleaner (but still strong) look, I’m liking Tower 28 mascara, which goes on clump-free and remains flake-free for as long as I wear it.
When I had my Jones Road makeover just before the New Year, the makeup artist used this lip and cheek tint, in Tawny Nude, which is a slightly subtler brown than what I’d been using—and which was something of a revelation.
I don’t use concealer much because I’m so bad at applying it, but when my under-eye circles are too pronounced to ignore, I go for this pencil, which is so easy to use, and really gets the job done.
I also like the Jones Road brow pencil, again because it’s so simple to use.
A swipe of Kosas’s clear gel keeps my brows in place all day.
I dig the taupe-y brown shade of this eyeliner from Sweed.
This lip tint, in a pretty shade called Pink Rose, accomplishes a your-lips-but-better look nicely.
I usually stock up on Phyto Lip Twist when I’m in Europe, where it’s much cheaper. It’s both matte and moisturizing, which is a cool trick.
Apply Tarte’s Fake Awake to lower eyelids when they’re looking red and irritated, and you will somewhat magically look rested and refreshed.
