Ten slightly elevated cardigans

This is just about the point in the winter during which I give in to complete schlumpiness: baggy jeans, comfy shirts, and big huggy sweaters that keep me warm and cozy but maybe aren’t the most sophisticated of options. So I’m on the lookout for cardis that make me look more—instead of less—put- together. And I think this stretchy cotton option from Veronica Beard is so cool.

A sweater jacket from Alex Mill that I’ve shown you in army green before, but right now I’m digging this—periwinkle?—blue.

This punchy tomato red option has an ever-so-slightly slightly cinched waist, and comes in a few other good shades.

I like this fuzzy little number, and also this similar sweater by the same brand.

I’m cheating a little by including Rag & Bone’s Slade blazer, but this iteration is fabricated in stretchy Ponte, so I think it belongs here.

The crocheted trim here (click through and zoom in) makes this one standout.

Another cute sweater jacket, for not a lot of cash.

The sailor collar here is just so spiff.

This bomber shape would be excellent for layering.

The Gaspard Cardigan from Ba&sh is a favorite of mine—I like the nubby texture and the fact that it comes in ten colors.
