things-i-bought,-things-i-want

Things I bought, things I want

This is really just about the most perfectly slouchy striped silk shirt I’ve ever seen, and it’s marked down right now.

And speaking of, Universal Standard has introduced some very good-looking shirting; this button-down, for instance, comes in several good colors, and has a point collar and oversized French cuffs.

I am so happy with my new V-neck sweatshirt; it’s warm and fleece-y on the inside, has a soft, slinky feel on the outside, and is appealingly lightweight. Mostly I’ve been wearing it to lounge about at home, but I think you could dress it up slightly and wear it out too. For a 15% discount, type in KIM15 at checkout.

I have already raved about Me & Em’s Travel Jeans (which I own in this wash). They are deeply flattering on me—something wide-leg jeans almost never are—and insanely comfortable. Now I want to acquire them in this darker wash, and just might do it. One note: I do think these pants look better when they’re ever-so-slightly longer than shown here—I like when the hem just barely clears the ground.

And here is Alex Mill’s version of this viral (and pricey) pant that is also supposed to be insanely flattering. Has anyone tried it? Please do weigh in if so.

The only scent I ever wear is Portrait of a Lady—it’s a blend of rose and patchouli, but it doesn’t end up smelling overwhelmingly of either of those things. It’s just a warm, classic scent. I find actual perfume to be too fume-y and headache-inducing, though, so I use this heavenly body and hair oil instead.

I kind of really want this washable silk pajama tee, to wear for sleep, but then also not, and also these matching shorts.

Just a great, oversized alpaca polo sweater that comes in several subtler shades, but I’m a sucker for this yellow.

I store my weed in a boring plain wood box, and am looking for a more stylish upgrade, and this bright box is so appealing.

As I think I mentioned before, we sadly cancelled our February trip to L.A. But it has been so cold and miserable here that we decided to go to Mexico instead. So I decided to spring for this cute Emerson Fry caftan.
