Things I bought, things I want
Rachel Comey sent me this fantastic ribbed sweater, and I have been wearing it nonstop. The wool blend contains 15% silk, which keeps things soft and not too itchy, and the sweater itself has a nice heft, while at the same time being not too bulky. Perfect for right now, and it comes in a couple of other good shades if the grey isn’t doing it for you.
Similarly, I have been wearing these ribbed sweatpants on heavy repeat. Just the comfiest, and with a good shape that doesn’t come off too shlumpy if you are called upon to go outside.
I’m traveling soon, and am looking for eyeshadow sticks because they seem like the easiest, most portable option. I’ve tried this one from Laura Mercier, and can confirm that it’s pretty mistake-proof and long-lasting. Also worth checking out: this, from Bobbi Brown.
I love my new cashmere hoodie impossibly much: it’s got a great shape—it kind of gently curves longer in the back—and seems like it’d be the perfect piece for wearing on the plane. It’s definitely investment-priced, but as you may recall, the pieces I most believe in investing in are the ones I’m most likely to wear every day. And this clears that bar.
Just a nicely menswearish trouser skirt that looks fancier than it is.
I think this cute cropped sherpa jacket would be so cute once spring rolls around. It has an apres-tennis vibe that I can get behind.
I like these wide-leg jeans because they are not too cartoonishly wide, as many are. They’ve also got a little bit of stretch, which is never a bad thing.
A sweet caftan-ish linen dress that I’m considering buying for my vacation: it looks like you could easily wear it to the beach or to dinner.
Oh, how I am coveting these stretch silk pants by AYR. They look like flattering, slouchy perfection.
This remains my favorite tinted lip balm, and I’ve tried plenty.
And finally, these cool sneakers have a bit of a platform sole, which always makes me happy. I also really dig the black and brown color combination.
